Spencer County Educational Foundation
Thank you to our Founding Donor, Citizens Union Bank! We are grateful to have them as a strong partner for our schools and students.
🏆 2021 Technology Award Winners!
The English Department at SCHS is so thankful for SCEF’s donation of a fully stocked laptop cart. These laptops will allow us to ensure students are exposed to the necessary technology to help them be successful in college or a career. Specifically, students will be able to use them throughout the writing process, even provide peer feedback using available online tools. These will also help provide students with online ACT practice, as well as individualized lessons to support the needs of each student. During students’ senior year they will use these to create an online notebook for their senior project, which is more aligned with current college and career expectations. We are so thankful to be the recipients of this generous donation and truly cannot wait to see the opportunities this opens for SCHS students.
$1,810 – “Super” Laptop
The purchase of the ASUS ROG Strix G Flagship Gaming Laptop and the Wireless Mouse & Keyboard, plus the other accessories, has really enabled me to provide quality support to all of my students who are pursuing Computer Science courses, including Game Design. Being able to have a device that can go home AND that can handle all of the various programs that my students are using definitely makes a difference. Thank you all so much!
